scrapbook page with lots of Bling!

For this project, you will need the following:

papers - black, rust, cranberry, cream
stamp - leaf
ink - and embossible ink
Sticky Powder
Original Bling
double sided tape - 1/8" inch
lettering template
two way glue pen

Stamp leaf on black paper piece with any embossible ink (even colored inks work since the flakes will hide all the color). Sprinkle on Sticky Powder. Heat with heat gun until just melted. Use fingers or medium stiff brush to apply flakes - thouroughly press flakes onto image. Going against the bristles, brush off excess flakes.
Because of the detailed lines in the leaf image, you will need to spend extra time brushing off any excess flakes. Turn your work so you can brush in different directions. If you find a sticky spot, apply more flakes. The sticky embossing powder will remain sticky long enough for you to take all the time you need. When satisfied with your work, buff with a soft cloth (and those of you who have seen us at conventions know we love to use the sock the dryer didn't eat for this!). Cut the leaves out.
1/8" double sided tape was used to make a border on both long sides of a black 2" strip of paper. Although any two sided tape will work with the flakes, we love to use the Ultimate Bond Red Lined tape on projects we want to be perfect -- it is nice and thick and doesn't wrinkle. Lay on tape, remove the protective plastic, press on flakes, brush off excess and buff. Mount leaves on strip. Every other leaf was mounted with a pop-dot.
This is the part we are so impressed with!!

The title was made by tracing letters from a lettering template with a glue pen. Wait for the glue to turn from blue (wet) to clear (tacky) and apply flakes. If the glue is still blue, it will smear. Remember to buff to a shine.
Photo corners were embellished with 1/8" tape and flakes.
